Little Miss Clackamas Records occasionally hosts all ages, drug free shows around the Greater Boston area. Our shows are rooted in DIY ethics and we strive to create a safe(r) space for all that attend. We ask that attendees and bands be mindful of the language they use and how it might affect others. Racist, sexist, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise oppressive attitudes are not welcome here.
Although we will have a suggested donation to pay at the door, all of our shows are Pay What You Can (PWYC) / No One Turned Away for Lack of Funds (NOTAFLOF). This means that no one will be denied entry to any of our shows in the event that they cannot pay the suggested amount. No explanation or reason is required. You can either talk to the person collecting money at the door or email us ahead of time. The proceeds that are collected from the show go towards rental of the space, the bands, and a donation for a particular organization or cause. All of our shows are not for profit.
All shows are sober shows. The shows that we host are meant to be an accessible, inclusive space for every member of the community. The presence of alcohol or drugs at shows can make it difficult for people in recovery or attempting to quit substances feel comfortable attending. Communication with people who have been drinking or using certain substances is less effective. People may be less mindful of their behavior in the space after drinking or using drugs. For these reasons, among others, we have chosen to keep these shows free of drugs and alcohol. If anyone is seen with drugs or alcohol at a show, they may be asked to leave.
If there are any ways we can make these shows better, more accessible, more inclusive, or safer, please feel free to email us: lmc.records@proton.me
We can always use volunteers to help make these shows successful. Volunteers can assist with setup, running door, running sound, crowd control, security, and breakdown at the end of the night. No experience is required. If you would like to volunteer your time to help run one of these shows, feel free to email us at the address above for more information on getting involved.
